Westside Elementary School

Welcome to Westside Elementary School!  My name is Katie Smith, and it is an honor to introduce myself as the new Instructional Coach of WES.   I am thrilled to begin this new role and to have the opportunity to work alongside so many great educators and leaders.

I have been apart of the Lowndes County family for over 15 years, teaching 1st and 3rd grade at Lake Park Elementary and 1st grade at Westside.  I graduated from Valdosta State University receiving my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.  (Go Blazers!)  Currently, I am working  to obtain my coaching endorsement.   

My husband, Scott, and I will celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary this year.  Together we have 2 beautiful children who both attend Hahira Middle School.   We are proud to be Vikings and to have called Valdosta our home for the past 20+ years. 

I look forward to a wonderful year working with you, growing and learning together at WES!  It is going to be an aWESome year!
