Instructional Coach
Ms. Shaina Larson

Ms. Larson brings more than a decade of experience in education and is entering her third year as an instructional coach within the Lowndes County School System. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and endorsements in Gifted, Teacher Leadership, and Coaching, and looks forward to completing her Tier I Educational Leadership certification in the near future.
Before becoming an Instructional Coach, Ms. Larson taught for many years at Dewar Elementary School, serving as a grade-level chair and member of the leadership team. During her time at Dewar, she was honored as the 2023–2024 Dewar Elementary Teacher of the Year and the 2023–2024 Lowndes County Schools System Teacher of the Year.
Passionate about building relationships and supporting teachers through collaboration and coaching, Ms. Larson also serves as an adjunct professor at Valdosta State University and has been a panelist for Pearson Education, sharing insights on using assessment to guide instruction. She looks forward to learning alongside Westside’s faculty, staff, students, and families as they continue growing together. She is also especially excited that all five of her children will be joining the Westside family this year, making this a special new chapter for their entire family!
