This past Saturday, the Lowndes High Mock Trial team competed in the Region 1 Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition against 11 other teams. After drawing one of the most difficult competition schedules, our Vikings walked away with more individual awards than any other team. Congratulations to our students who took home Outstanding Witness honors in all three rounds; Alessandro Straltsov in round 1, Allison Johnson in round 2, and Sanovia Woods in round 3. Co-captain Cason Hasty shined in his role as lead defense attorney winning Outstanding Attorney in both rounds 2 and 3. Iris Leigh served as the team’s courtroom artist.
Iris received a roaring ovation, and her courtroom illustration will be entered in the statewide Mock Trial Courtroom Artist competition.
Seniors Jessica Karagoz, Mohammad Ali, and co-captains Audrey Galletti and Cason Hasty were recognized for their four years of participation in Georgia Mock Trial Competition. We want to recognize and thank our other departing seniors Alessandro Straltov, Dev Patel, Henry Hamilton, and Sanovia Woods for their irreplaceable commitments to the program.
Coaches Daniel Storey and Lori Ann King would like to thank the team’s Attorney Coach Wade Krueger, former Coach Dr. Sandra James, and the families and donors that have given their time, talent, and treasure supporting us this season. Thank you also to our returning members Allison Johnson, Iris Leigh, Kaitlyn WIlliams, Khloe Arndt, Mason Slaughter, and Morgan Rowan.
Finally, we would like to extend a warm welcome to our fellow Titletown friends at Valdosta High in their first season, and congratulate and support Valwood as they move on to district
competitions on February 22nd.

Lokesh has chosen Mr. Taylor Payne as his STAR Teacher, a well-deserved honor for Mr. Payne, who has now earned this title for two consecutive years.

Stats in Style! 📊✨
Our AP Statistics students brought creativity to the classroom for their first assessment on Experimental Designs! They showed up dressed as a "block" or "matched pairs" to represent key concepts from their lesson.
🔹Blocks are groups of experimental units that are similar in some way.
🔹 Matched Pairs involve pairing two similar units.
Learning statistics has never looked this good! Great job, future statisticians and researchers! 💡🎉
