
🎉🎶 A huge shout out to Mrs. Holley's 5th grade class for earning their white belt in recorder! 🏅These talented students mastered the notes B, A, and G, and rocked their half note and quarter note rhythms! Their hard work, focus, and dedication to perfecting their skills are paying off. Keep up the fantastic work, musicians—you're just getting started!


It’s always a great day in music class when the parachute comes out!
Students have been enjoying using the parachute to explore movement and rhythm in fun, engaging ways. Whether we're lifting it high to the beat of a song, creating waves in sync with the music, or moving in circles, every movement connects their bodies to sound.










Friday was a great day to create pizza! PGE ACES classes rolled up their sleeves and got creative today making pizza pies! By working together, they were able to create some tasty results to end the week! Mr. Swilley enjoyed some also.








Kindergarten gathered, sliced, and squeezed lemons to make lemonade after reading the story "When Grandma Gives You a Lemon Tree."


Look at Mrs. Bearrentine's math wizards! They are solving addition problems up to 1,000 using digital base-ten blocks as a model. ➕







September 30th is Georgia Reads Day. Students may wear their favorite book character's outfit. Outfits must adhere to dress code. No scary outfits will be allowed.


Mrs. May visited Ms. Satterwhite’s Kindergarten class for a very special read aloud. Students were amazed that their very own Assistant Principal co-authored the book with her father and also illustrated the pictures!


Our 1st popcorn, pickles & pringles day was a success! Thank you to our ACES classes for helping out with this event.






🎶 Our second grade students are becoming listening detectives! They’re on the hunt for the strong and weak beats in music to uncover the meter! Students are using large and small objects to show meters of 2, 3, and 4.




1st graders are magnetic! Learning what attracts and repels in the science lab.

Mrs. Allison & Mrs. Robinson wanted to give a shout out to Mrs. May for stopping by their classroom. Mrs. May watched the PGE News and encouraged students to follow those PAWS guidelines.

Mrs. Penland's second graders listened to the story The Dot by Peter Reynolds to celebrate National dot day, which is September 15th. After learning from Vashti the main character, students created their own dot and got to see it in 3D!

PGE Art Club is out of this world! 5th grade art club started off with a bang. Students learned layering and texturizing techniques using spray paint to create planets with Ms. Butler.











Mrs. Reeves' class learned about some of the events that happened on 9/11. They also read "The Man in the Red Bandanna" and created a memory class quilt to represent the events of the day.

📚🥁 From pages to percussion! Our 3rd grade students are bringing "Drum Dream Girl" to life, exploring rhythms on various drums. Each beat tells a story of creativity, culture, and courage.

This week PE teachers are collaborating with kindergarten teachers in an effort to help students learn the alphabet. Students must ring the basketball hoop in order to earn a letter. Students search for the correct letter which helps with their letter recognition.
