After reading The Lottery, Mrs. Justice’s students dove into analyzing how Shirley Jackson uses narrative techniques and syntax to shape characters, drive the plot, and create suspense. 📖





Ms. Johnson's students enjoyed working in the outdoor classroom as they worked on finding percent change as part of their class demo activity using real world comparisons!








Baseball tryouts will be held December 2-4 from 3:30-5:30 each day. Students must have a current physical on file to try out. ⚾️

Mrs. Browning’s students used task cards to prepare for their upcoming test over ratios, rates, and proportional relationships.




Eleven 7th and 8th-grade students were chosen by Mr. Young to represent PGM at the 2nd Annual District 8 Honor Chorus, held at Ware County High School.
These students spent the day fine-tuning songs and working with students from LMS, HMS, and other schools in the Southeast district.
The day ended with an on-stage performance of three songs and one with a combined middle and high school chorus. 🎶






Mrs. Taylor’s Enhanced ELA class has been busy presenting their hero's journey narratives! Each student wrote an original story following the hero’s journey and created a visual presentation to bring it to life. ✏️ 💻

Yesterday we celebrated our staff members of the month for September!! Each was surprised by our admin team with a Viking helmet and cape to celebrate their victories in the areas of Operations (Mrs. Mary Browning), Curriculum & Instruction (Mrs. Missy Hampton), Educational Technology (Ms. Alisha Roberts) and Student Services (Mrs. Olivia Rosenberg). Science in motion! Mrs. Martin's students explored the connection between activity level and heart rate by walking, jogging, and running, then measuring their pulse after each. They graphed their data to see how their bodies respond to different intensities of movement. 👟🫀#STEM







A group of our 8th graders and their science teachers visited Dewar Elementary on Monday to teach a lesson on heat for Georgia Pre-K Week! Students learned about conduction, convection, and radiation as they made delicious s'mores! 🔥 #STEM #GAPreKWeek








Mrs. Hopkins’ 8th grade students did a great job reciting the Preamble to the Constitution! The Preamble outlines the fundamental goals and aspirations for the new government, emphasizing popular sovereignty and the replacement of the failed Articles of Confederation with a stronger, unified nation. 🇺🇸
